USER receives funding

USER - Uppsala Smart Energy Reserach receives 1,4 miljoner SEK to study how the COVID-19 Pandemic have effected the electricity consumption.

USER has via Vera van Zoest, postdoc at the Department of Information Technology, been granted 1.4 million SEK for conducting the project “Evaluating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on electricity consumption patterns in the residential, public and commercial sector in Sweden” in the period 1 January 2022 - 30 June 2023. In addition to the project manager, Cajsa Bartusch and Fouad El Gohary at Industrial Engineering and Management will participate. The overall aim of the project is to study the effects of the pandemic on the electricity consumption pattern in different groups of electricity users as well as to assess the longterm effects in this respect.
